Fractional Executive Solutions provides the experience and knowledge of a high powered operations professional for a fraction of the cost!
"I help you get your life back"!
That's my pitch to a small business owner. One of the hazards of owning your business is trying to do everything yourself.
There are aspects of working on your business that are fun and exciting such as business development, exploring new markets and products as well and creating strategy. But what is not fun is making things happen to get the product or service “out the door”. The little things that have to be done can be hard. Like Operations management.
What you need is an experienced leader who enjoys doing those things. But you can't afford the cost of that leader. That’s where I can help you “get your life back”!
As a career operations executive who has led multiple operational turnarounds, I have seen so many different examples of chaos and poor performance by operations teams that nothing really stumps me. And usually, it is not the fault of the people or management. More often than not, it is systematic and process issues that holds teams back. I have seen it in many small companies and organizations. What some see as an impossible task, I see as an opportunity to have fun!

As a Fractional COO or Integrator, I can see what the owner may not. What is perplexing to them is an “ I got a process for that” moment for me. Because I have led organizations in both public and private companies, big and small across so many markets, I usually have a solution to most operational challenges. What I do is collaborate with the team to develop their skills and processes while creating a culture of accountability. By engaging with the owner and each manager weekly , I can get to the heart of the matter and provide immediate experienced leadership. All of this usually in one day per week. Coaching, teaching, mentoring and encouraging with my sleeves rolled up and helping do the work.
What I provide is solid experience: at a "fraction of the cost". So, you, the owner, can go to your child’s ballgame or dance recital.

Empowering Your Team: A Guide to Clear Communication and Effective Leadership
Great leadership isn't about barking orders. It's about inspiring and equipping your team to achieve success. Many leaders, from managers to CEOs, struggle to communicate their vision effectively. This can lead to confusion, disengagement, and ultimately, missed goals.
The key lies in clear, concise communication. Here's a four-step process to ensure your team understands what you want, why it's important, how to achieve it, and their role in the process.
1. Define the Challenge: The "What"
Before you present your vision to the team, take a step back. Clearly define the challenge or opportunity at hand. What exactly do you want to accomplish?
Here's how to communicate the "What" effectively:
Craft a Clear Scope Statement: Develop a concise document outlining the project's goals and boundaries.
Communicate SMART Goals: Present your vision using SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
Reiterate and Reiterate: Clearly state the goal – verbally and in writing – so everyone is on the same page.
2. Unite the Team: The "Why"
People are more invested in their work when they understand the purpose. Explain the "why" behind the goal.
Communicating the "Why" effectively:
Transparency is Key: Explain the rationale for the project without revealing confidential information.
Connect the Dots: Tie the "what" to the "why" in a clear message. Show how achieving the goal benefits the company and the team.
3. Chart the Course: The "How"
Now, it's time to map out the journey. Provide a clear understanding of "how" to achieve the goal.
Effective communication of the "How":
Outline the Process: Present a step-by-step plan with clear milestones and deadlines.
Embrace Collaboration: Ask for the team's input on the process. Their ideas and experience are valuable.
Establish Accountability: Define how progress will be tracked and who is responsible for each step.
4. Empower Individuals: The "Who"
Perhaps the most crucial step is defining "who" does what.
Effectively communicating the "Who":
Explain Individual Roles: Clearly explain how each team member contributes to the project.
Address Concerns: Listen to their questions and ensure everyone understands their role and its impact.
By following these steps, you'll transform your team from passive followers into active participants. A well-informed and motivated team is the key to achieving your goals and driving success.
