Taking on your first leadership role can be challenging and sometimes overwhelming. Our structured course for Emerging Leaders is specifically designed to ease the transition for individuals embarking on their management careers. For many, effectively communicating with their teams about performance and results can be daunting. If these conversations are not handled well, they can lead to detrimental leadership habits that may ultimately foster cultural issues within the organization. We recognize the unique challenges faced by emerging leaders, and we have developed a proven process to support them from the outset. Additionally, we offer resources for seasoned managers seeking to enhance their leadership skills.
Our program begins with a one-hour call with the participant's manager. Prior to this discussion, we provide a questionnaire that outlines 4-6 objectives for the participant, highlighting their current strengths and areas for growth needed to advance their careers. Following this, we conduct a one-hour call with the participant to discuss the same topics, gaining their perspective on the purpose of our collaboration. We also explore their expectations for the course and address any queries they may have.
After these introductory calls, we create a tailored lesson plan. The course spans 6 to 12 weeks, featuring weekly one-hour video sessions. Key topics include Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Project Management, Metrics, and, crucially, Communication Techniques. The program culminates in a capstone session, where we review the lesson plan to ensure that the knowledge gained will be effectively applied moving forward.
Our course is designed to be engaging, interactive, and educational, with a focus on ensuring that participants retain the lessons learned. We remain a resource for follow-up questions, providing ongoing support well after the course concludes.
